  • Took over late actor Marlon Brando's long-held position as honorary chairman of the Stella Adler School Of Acting. (September 23, 2004)
  • After Orson Welles for CITIZEN KANE. (1941), Beatty was the next person to be nominated for four Oscars for one film: HEAVEN CAN WAIT. (1978). Beatty earned nominations for Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Director, and Best Writing. Sadly, he scored no Oscars for the film. Welles fared a bit better, winning one Academy Award out of his four nominations: Best Writing, Original Screenplay, which he shared with co-writer Herman J. Mankiewicz.
  • His political views expounded by the new Jay Bulworth in the movie Bulworth are really his own.
  • He is the godfather of Melanie Griffith's son, Alexander.
  • Was originally cast as the president in MARS ATTACK!. (1996).
